BDNCR is a socio cultural organization based in New Delhi, representing the vibrant Bengali community of Delhi and NCR. It all started from the feelings of what we miss here - Food, Football, Music, and Adda (gossip on nearly every topic under the sun).

So what happens when a young man (or even a young lady) from Kolkata or for that matter any other part of Bengal lands up in Delhi or the NCR in quest of a career or pursuit of higher studies? Well, he/she feels like a fish out of water. He has to pay his way around with some broken Hindi with smattering of Bangla as often as necessary.

Authentic Bengali cuisine becomes a distant dream, Football an extinct species and Adda a thing of past. Wah!!!! In the mundane, fast paced lifestyle of the capital and the NCR- where is the time to sit and spin yarns? As far as music is concerned you would be lucky if you manage to carry your own cassettes and CDs.

The quest for all these ends up at BDNCR. It tries to serve as the platform for Bengalis’ in the NCR to breathe some fresh air amidst of the hectic schedule, indulge in some fun, cultural activities to keep the Bengali alive inside and volunteer in some social activities to make a better tomorrow.
